The Eddy County Clerk, Robin Van Natta, has announced that effective Tuesday, May 26, 2020 the County Clerk’s Office will begin to allow the public in on a limited basis.
The County Clerk advises the public that if you are sick or having allergy issues to please stay home and call 575-885-3383. They will do their best to assist you with what you need.
Only 5-6 individuals will be allowed in the book room at one time. No appointment will be needed; however, entry will be on a first come first serve basis. A sign-in sheet will be posted if there is a wait, and entry will be allowed in two-hour intervals.
Only three individuals will be allowed to be waited on at the counter for recording, copies, or general services.
Only one couple at a time for marriage licenses.
Early voting is now open through May 30, 2020 at 325 S. Main Street in Carlsbad and 602 S. First Street in Artesia. Voting hours at both locations are Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 6:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am- 4:00 pm. Election day is June 2, 2020.
