Marriage Licenses:
Marriage license fee is $25 CASH. NO CHECKS or CREDIT CARDS. Must be 18 years old and provide a picture ID. Ages 16 and 17 can have a parent sign for them. Under age 16 requires a court order. There is no waiting period and no blood tests are required. If you need someone to perform the ceremony, please contact the Eddy County Probate Judge.
Recording Fees:
Recording fees are $9.00 for the first page and $2.00 for every page thereafter, per document. There is an additional charge of $5 per each additional reference, such as Lease, Book and Page or any other instrument creating interest. Please see Fee Schedule below.

SCAM ALERT:
Many people have received letters from non-governmental businesses telling them they need to purchase a "Certified Copy of your Deed". The letter looks official as they have the Eddy County Clerk's Document Number for your property deed and says the government wants everyone to have their own copy. While it is a good idea to have a copy in a safe deposit box or other safe place, you do not have to have one in your possession. Worst of all, these businesses are charging well over the $1.50 that the Eddy County Clerk charges.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE A COPY OF YOUR DEED, YOU CAN GET ONE AT THE EDDY COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE FOR A FEE OF $1.50. YOU MAY ALSO CALL THE CLERK'S OFFICE AT 575-885-3383 AND HAVE THE DEED MAILED TO YOU.
