VIN INSPECTIONS -
- VIN inspections are conducted for vehicles with out-of-state titles or for VIN corrections.
- VIN inspections are NOT conducted during bad weather conditions.
COMPUTER EXAMINATIONS -
- KIOSKS are available for regular and commercial driver license exams and "None for the Road" exams.

FIRST TIME LICENSE HOLDERS in New Mexico ages 18-24 must take the "None for the Road" DWI awareness exam. To take the exam you must bring in the confirmation page with verification number from here: https://nonefortheroad.org
(No cell phones or audio devices allowed at Kiosk testing area)
Road Test -
FOR EDDY COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY
- Road tests are only conducted in good weather conditions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 am-10:30 am AND 1:30 pm-2:30 pm.
- Written exams must have been taken before Road Test is administered.
- Bring current vehicle insurance card and current registration.
- Vehicle horn, signals, brakes, seat belts, mirrors, doors must be in operation and no broken windshields or windows for safety purposes.
- COVID-19 procedures to be followed.
- Registered owner's signature required for No-Fault Damages Statement.
Motor Cycle Road Test -
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY 575-746-1323 Option 2
FOR EDDY COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY
- Road tests are conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment.
- Written exams must have been taken before Road Test is administered.
- Bring motor cycle's current insurance card and current registration.
- Motor cycle horn, signals, brakes, mirrors must be operation with no broken windshields or broken windows for safety purposes.

MAILED: Documents that are from Dealerships and Financial Institutions-
1. Only cashier's check or money order made to New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division
AND
2. A separate $7 service fee cashier's check or money order made to "Eddy County".

Questions
To receive an "interlock driver's license," you must contact DWI unit first by email to get authorization for the MVD to issue the license.
