The operations division operates out of 17 fire houses strategically placed to cover 4,198 square miles. As a combination department we have career personnel on-duty 24/7 and volunteer response out of the fire houses. Staffed fire houses are located at Station 2 (7170 Roswell Highway, Artesia, NM 88110), Station 5 (54 S. Fourth Street, Loving, NM 88256) and Station 6 (4132 West Texas Street, Carlsbad, NM 88220). We have allocated position to begin staffing Station 4 (2751 Pecos Highway, Carlsbad, NM 88220)
